Come and join us as we explore composition in photography.

Composition is one of the most critical element in photography. Composition is how a photographer arranges the visual elements within their image, frame. I promise you that if you search for information on composition you will find plenty You will find formal rules, opinion, some of which you can trace back to historical art movements and painters.

Even in the digital world, composition remains the key to creating strong images. Composition is what guides our eye through an image and gives importance to the subject. It creates the story for the viewer and how we as photographers convey that message.

This meetup will explore composition using our frame and tools available to us as the photographer.

The workshop was informative, (Mr. London had email us camera tips explaining aperture, shutter speed and ISO, making the workshop and his style of teaching applicable. Each person has a different camera and Mr.London is a source of knowledge was able to work with us. As for me my camera was not working in that day and Mr .London included me in the class and all the photos and even asked how the photo looked on my cell. What I also like about his teaching is that he encouraged us not only during the workshop but also to continue taking photos with the new information. And I am. No fuzzy background photos for me, I know how to adjust my camera or if I wanted to have a fuzzy background ink know what to do. Thanks for making this workshop available and affordable. Thanks Geraldine for allowing me to attend this workshop, since I had missed the first one.

The host/teacher was very generous with his time and gave everyone some individual attention and feedback, i was under the impression from the workshop name that flash would be a ?bonus? at the workshop , however I discovered it was the main focus. Even though I only had my ?pro? model smartphone I did enjoy the workshop and did get something from the it. Thank you Bob London.

My life has been unconventional, needed some time off after High School so I left NJ and went to work for the Forest Service in NH, from there Ski bumming in VT, a summer in the Virgin Islands, another working with the Native Americans in SD and then fishing in Alaska. Time to get back to college so got a A.S. in Bus. from LSC in VT and then a BFA in Photo from RIT. A reluctant move to the Big Apple, for I was a country kid and now I have become a hipster in the heart of Brooklyn. In the interim, marriage, a kid, a few cats, a dog, divorce and a few landlord lawsuits. Doing the photography thing the whole time with the typical up and down success and droughts, have worked with celebrities, corporations, some magazine covers, been on TV met good people, evil people. Work in progress, why don't you become a part of it!
